Ragin'

Oh hello, still kicking about? My sincerest apologies for the delay for a proper post. But hey, if your still tuned in, all of us here appreciate it! :)

Well to get on with the it. My previous post... needs to be revisited. I gave KiD CuDi's album Man on the Moon: End of the Day a goood thorough listen (after posting it up! See, i do care about our viewers!) And I can truly say KiD CuDi may have just saved the life of hip-hop. Fuckin' debut with an album containing MGMT and Ratatat in the same fucking song, then you got something good. That being said, I'm not posting up Pursuit of Happiness. Mainly because it's been blogged to shit already. Instead here's a few of the other tracks that show KiD CuDi's debut would be great even without this track (although it is the best track on it IMO!)

First, I really enjoyed listening to Soundtrack 2 My Life. I get a very nostalgic feel with this song, CuDi discusses his rise to fame and background etc. And one thing I would like to point out is he sings in his songs. Not the greatest singer, but the point is he isn't afraid to sing which means a lot, not completely depending on a quick beat and a constant flow of rapping. Also, note that Common introduces the new Acts, now that's Cool.

Ratatat also produce another song in this album, Alive (Nightmare) and I gotta say it feels more Ratatat's than CuDi's. It's a great thing, it isn't your usual collaborations. The beat has Ratatat's signature eerie and nostalgic feel to it. Great!

This album has a very dark, theme throughout. Pursuit of Happiness being about chasing happiness through drugs, alcohol etc. An Act named Rise of the Night Terrors... You get the picture. But it ends on a bright note with Up Up & Away. A faster, gutair beat makes an epic ending to a brilliant album. I can't help but smile and sing along with CuDi on this one.

Now that's my segment of KiD CuDi is done... here's some other fresh tracks. So good it'll make you want to ultimate punch someone.

[DISCLAIMER: We are not to blame if you decide to do this.]

KZA will be happy about this next track. Does it Offend You, Yeah?'s Epic Last Song. Check. Some heavy raw electro beats courtisy of Jack Beats. Check. An awesome freakin song. Double fucking check.

Classic track. Fan of tetris? Well, maybe not a fan but who can't say they've played it. And that goddamn repetitive, catchy track get stuck in your head. Well here's something that gives you a reason to like it. Tetris for a club if you will.

To finish up let's slow it down with one of my personal highlights from Attack of the Blog compolation. Gotta a great 80s feel to it and very relaxed. Feel good to say the least. :)
