Watched Inglorious Basterds yesterday. Quentin Tarintino's movies are always awaited with anticipation & often apprehension. I mean the guy churned out Pulp Fiction, and it's generally hit or miss for most of his films! But this one was a frakin' hit! And you have no idea how glad I am to be able to say that. Haha, go watch it! In the cinema... you dirty Knock-Off Nigels! Oh, the irony!

Definitely a feel good song. As the summer holidays evaporate, for me this wonderful track seems to commemorate it.

First up... Futurecop! is a band composed of two dudes that wanted to revive the 80s. Their EP The Unicorn & the Lost City of Alvograth is composed of some stuff that shows they're well on their way to hitting us on the face with some great 80. Another day, another post. This time I give you a taste of the musical styling of Bankai, a dude who has named himself after a sword level(?) from the anime/manga Bleach.

I'll jus take a few seconds to talk about the anime. Well it's centred round the main character Ichigo Kurosaki, he can see ghosts. Then shit gets trippy... ends up fighting. ALOT. This is what this anime is about, fights. and they be epic! Well click here to get started on it.

And Then There Was Chiptune

As you may have realised most of the songs are down! =( Yes, it sucks, but we're gonna get them uploaded again.

Okay, I love video games, Love 'em! And so what's this post about, you ask? The fusion of my two favorite things music & video games! And it's all old-school. I'm talking NES, Commodore 64 and a little Gameboy for good measure. I can't tell you how much I adore this type of music, full of nostalgia! And even if you aren't into you games... You will still love it! Great techno/dance/electronic music nonetheless. Oh, this genre is reffered to as Chiptune (lil bit of trivia for ya'll).

So here's a few little known of artists who produce some excellent works of chiptune.

First up, here's a couple of tracks from Belmont. I gotta say 8-bit Touch is a great up-beat example of this ground-breaking genre, gotta love the robotic voice repeating "8-b-i-t" over and over again! And Electro Messiah is much less of chiptune and just an awesome mix.
